It’s not just Christmas, though: McDonalds is selling out at its busiest time ever.
The chain’s Christmas rush began in earnest at 11 a.m. on Friday.
By Saturday morning, the fast food restaurant chain’s online sales had jumped 10 percent, and it’s likely to be a boon to Christmas sales, according to industry analysts.
McDonalds has sold more than 4.2 million burgers, fries and shakes during the holiday shopping season.
And its Christmas sales will top the previous peak in 2017, said Chris Kottke, president of marketing and sales for the company.
McKesson, which had the busiest Christmas shopping season of any retailer in 2017 so far, is expected to finish at a new high.
Kottke expects the chain’s new high to reach $1 billion by the end of the year.
It’s also the most Christmas shopping in history, said Craig Wallin, chief executive officer at Wallin Research Group.
The company sold nearly 2.3 million items during the Christmas shopping period.
The chain had nearly 6 million items on sale, according the research firm.
It also has more than $400 million in cash on hand.
